A to Z TV Series News: Critics and Viewers Love the Show!
The quirky rom-com, A to Z, had its debut Thursday night and viewers (18-49 demographics) were pleased with the outcome. Even critics were amazed with the A to Z Season 1 Episode 1.
In a recent article by TV.com, "A to Z is probably the most charming and definitely the most romantic, but whether or not it will be able retain the magic for the longterm is still up for debate."
A to Z Season 1 Episode 1 was titled "A Is for Acquaintances". The show will follow the relationship between Mad Men's Ben Feldman and How I Met Your Mother's own Cristin Milioti as Andrew and Zelda. Similar to the plot of 500 days of Summer, it chronicles the beginning to end of both characters' romance. Every episode will be titled according to the letters of the alphabet, thus from A till Z, which is the end. The series will be narrated by Katey Sagal of Sons of Anarchy.
TV.com explained, "A to Z doesn't really promise that same kind of happy ending-in fact, it tells viewers up front the exact length of Andrew and Zelda's relationship-so the show will have to work to prove that everything that happens in the middle of their story is just as important, if not more so, than the ending. Of course, there's no reason to believe that the show won't eventually end on a happy note. After all, sometimes shows you thought you knew the ending to surprise you. "
