'Blackhat' Release Date Announced; Michael Mann's First Cyber Thriller Trailer Released: WATCH
The Legendary and Universal Pictures already premiered the first trailer of Blackhat as Michael Mann's latest cyber thrilling film after "Public Enemies" in 2009. Joining lead actors Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Viola Davis in the "Blackhat" cast are Wang Leehom and Tang Wei.
The story centers to Hemsworth as a convicted computer hacker and enlisted by the US government as their respond to cyber threat.
Some of the critics said that releasing the film on January is a little bit odd. However, it's really hard not to get excited most especially when Blackhat's trailer was released.
Here's the Blackhat latest trailer!
"They don't know who [the terrorist] is, where he is, and they don't know why he's doing what he's doing. There's no apparent motive. The people they're working against are high-speed, world-class. They're dangerous, violent, and that launches our story," Director Mann says.
Based on the reports gathered by Geekexchange in order to produce a great movie such this, Director Mann met hackers even those who were imprisoned.
Jon Jashni and Thoma's Tull are the producers of this film, while Eric McLeod and Alex Garcia alongside with Mann are the executive producers. Before Mann could finally come up with this kind of movie, he is very obsessive with cyber battleground. He researched and studied the blackhat and whitehat hackers specifically the wage between the two from their individual laptops.
According to him, "What binds the globe together also makes us all increasingly vulnerable. It's happening on mechanical pieces of equipment that are sometimes 16 or 20 atoms wide, and the repercussions, in terms of everything from famine to hope to retail food prices, is huge and instantaneous. That reaction time-that's the world we live in now."
Coming from different opinions of fans, there are positive and there are of course negative- from the mighty Thor into becoming a convicted hacker. Whatever the role is we all know that Chris Hemsworth played the role more than our expectation. He is a great actor and this movie is another box office film early next year!
