Inherent Vice movie release which was during the New York Film Festival had been one of the most awaited ones in the occasion. The film, which was directed by one of the greatest talents in film making, Paul Thomas Anderson, had definitely been the talk among the critics.

Latinopost talked about the Inherent Vice movie cast stating that its an all-star cast which composed of what can be considered as top-grade actors. This combined with the great talent of its director had successfully created a tremendous amount of hype, and is being considered the first time a filmmaker had climbed the Mount Everest of screenplay adaptation. Inherent Vice trailer had us intrigued but there was nothing like seeing the full Inherent Vice film.
Los Angeles Times also had a movie review of Inherent Vice which concluded Anderson's film as an overnight cult hit, which is undoubtedly fitting for the complex story of Pynchon. So what is Inherent Vice plot truly about? The film begins with Shasta Fay (Katherine Waterston) reporting to his private investigator/ex-boyfriend Doc Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) about her rich lover Mickey Wolfmann (Eric Roberts) who suddenly disappeared. She suspects the wife and her lover might have something to do with the disappearance. As Doc searches for the man, he was lead to deal with FBI, LAPD and a drug cartel. The movie introduces new characters one at a time that interweaves and are seemingly unrelated and gets confusing for a while. Hence, a need to watch it again and understand how the characters relate.
