Mentalist Season 7 News, Reveals and Updates: Tim King Reveals Season 7 as the Final Installment while Dylan Baker and Morena Baccarin to Feature as Guest Stars
There are new spoilers for the Mentalist which is supposed to have the final season premiere sometime in January 2015 according to Tim Kang who plays, Special Agent Kimball Cho on the show. He has been sharing some important details about the upcoming season of the procedural police drama from CBS. For starters is the matter about the series conclusion. For a long time, we have been speculating on this issue and the hint from the show runner Bruno Heller that this is going to be the final installment of the show.
Bruno claimed that season 7 is all about bringing appropriate closure to the show as a whole. Especially considering the matter between Lisbon and Jane where they have been dancing around their apparent attraction to each other for the length of the whole show. The seventh season is rumored to end bitter sweet for the two of them but the details are not yet out on this. Simon Baker, who plays Patrick Jane, had this to say about his relationship to Lisbon on screen, "The transition to the FBI has been able to give us room structurally in the story to explore the potential for a relationship between Jane and Lisbon,"
In a Twitter post, Kang confirmed that the series is facing the final season. He claims "This is our 7th and final season. Looking at the scripts now, it's so fun and such a great season!" Kang even promised to document as many events as possible unfolding behind the scenes during the production of the seventh installment. In other news, it seems Unreality Primetime confirmed that actor Dylan Baker will also appear for the seventh season of the show as the hardnosed Special Agent Bill Peterson. Some of the other guest stars who have been confirmed to grace the show for the final season include Morena Baccarin who is going to play the role of Erika Flynn. There is also the matter of who is going to play Teresa Lisbon's delinquent brothers.
