'Resident Evil Revelations 2' Release Date Leaked: Horror Game's Sequel Will Premiere on February 2015

'Resident Evil Revelations 2' Release Date Leaked: Horror Game's Sequel Will Launch on February 2015
The sequel of the Japanese-made video game is set to conquer the gaming world again next year. According to reports from Polygon, "Resident Evil Revelations 2" is given a release date of Feb. 17, 2015. This specific date was reportedly leaked in a listing on Sony's Playstation store.
Capcom, the game owner, expressed uncertainty with the said release date. The company, when asked about "Resident Evil Revelations 2" release date, they always say it will premiere "early 2015." The Japanese game developer and publisher reportedly plans to release the newest season of the franchise "on a weekly basis" before releasing the full game commercially.
One of the most-played and most followed video games, "Resident Evil" second installment will cost $24.99, while gamers can also opt for individual episode purchase at $5.99. Purchase of the complete season of the game will come with still unannounced additional content and a Raid mode.
Claire Redfield and Moira Burton will remain as the two playable characters in "Resident Evil Revelations 2," and like the feature in its predecessor, gamers can easily switch between the two characters while playing the horror survival game.
VG247 reported that the new "Resident Evil" video game edition will be available to PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One aside from its original game platforms which are the Playstation 3 and 4. It can be recalled that "Resident Evil Revelations 2" was first announced last month. This means that Capcom only has six months in furnishing their new video game.
Meanwhile, Resident Evil producer, Michiteru Okabe, expressed excitement over Virtual Reality and sees it as a 'perfect sense' for horror video games like Resident evil, Gamespot reported. "Having gone from 2D to 3D, now it's time to surround yourself in these worlds instead of just having a screen in front of you. It makes sense; the technology is there," Okabe said.
Okabe said Virtual Reality boost the important element for horror games, immersion. With VR, gamers will give more attention to the game thus making it more thrilling and suspenseful.
Currently, Oculus Rift, owned by Facebook, and Playstation 4, owned by Sony, are the two Virtual Reality devices.
