We have the latest for you on the new HTC One M8 Windows phone. The good news is that HTC has unveiled the HTC One M8 for windows. For a long time, a lot of focus has been on Google's Android operating system but things are beginning to change as firms are now considering Microsoft's windows operating system. On 19th August, HTC unveiled the HTC One M8 for windows at a recent New York event. It is exactly the same as the HTC One M8 only that this one runs Windows phone 8.1. The phone goes on sale online today and retail stores tomorrow for $99 via Verizon in the US.
The new windows phone from HTC will only be available in the US as we contacted the HTC agency in the UK and said that they do not know anything about the phone. Furthermore, it was only mentioned for sale in the US and not in any other country.
The latest release from HTC will only be different in terms of the operating system used otherwise all other features are the same with the HTC One M8 running on Android. The smartphone will feature a 5-inch full HD screen with 1920*1080 pixel screen resolution and it is wrapped in an Aluminum unibody design. The screen is flanked by BoomSound front-facing speakers. The HTC One M8 for Windows is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset making it the fastest WP8.1 device. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 32 GB in-built storage and a MicroSD card slot.
The HTC One M8 phone has a unique duo camera system. It has a 4 ultrapixel rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The handset relies on its proprietary HTC ImageChip 2 to do the magic. This being a Verizon phone, means you get CDMA connectivity, and also regular 2G/3G for roaming, and 4G LTE. There is also dual-band Wi-Fi with Miracast, Bluetooth 4.0 with apt-X, NFC and a microUSB. This is very good news to HTC customers who love the hardware from HTC and get to know enjoy Windows phone operating system too.
