HTC has heated up the smartphone arena with some of its exciting releases. This year in March, the company released two flagship smartphones HTC Desire 816 and HTC One M8. Both the devices have kept the company's reputation and HTC One M8 has already managed to achieve huge popularity. Let's get a quick look to the devices specification.
The HTC Desire 816 is very large in size with a 5.5-inches display and 165g weight. The resolution pixel of the display is 720 x 1280 pixels and the pixel density is 267 pixels per inch. The display type is Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with an amazing 16M colors. The HTC One M8 stands higher than the Desire 816 with better resolution pixels.
HTC One M8 has small display screen size but it is packed with extreme resolution and pixel density. The pixel resolution of the device is 1080 x 1920 pixels in 5.0-inches display size. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display glass.
The camera section is ruled by the HTC Desire 816 with 13MP rear facing camera sensor and 5MP front facing camera sensor. Front camera has the capability to record 1080p video at 30 fps and 720p videos at 60 fps. HTC One M8 stands nowhere near to the HTC Desire 816 in camera comparison as it offers only 4MP dual camera sensor at the back and the front side is equipped with 5MP camera sensor. However, the good news is, HTC will soon release the updated version of One M8 named HTC One M8 Eye that will have 13MP primary camera.
Hardware department of HTC flagship smartphones has always been promising with its durability components. The HTC Desire 816 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad-Core 1.6GHz, Cortex-A7 processor with moderate adreno 305 GPU. The HTC One M8 clearly beats the hardware configuration by a large margin with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with Quad-Core 2.3GHz processor for US/EMEA version and 2.5GHz for Asia/China version. The GPU is powered with adreno 330.
Both the devices operate with android v4.4.2 KitKat and have non-removable Li-ion 2600mAh battery capacity.
