Bethel Music’s Kristene DiMarco Releases New Single "Death Is Hollow"

Bethel Music songwriter and worship leader Kristene DiMarco drops her latest track, "Death Is Hollow." Available today featuring live and acoustic versions, along with an accompanying video, the song releases as a commemoration to Holy Week in a powerful declaration that Jesus has defeated all the power and fear out of death and the grave.

With a rich history in songwriting, DiMarco's latest offering was born out of walking through a painful, heartbreaking season with a dear friend in 2019. Based on 1 Corinthians 15:55, "Death Is Hollow" leads listener's hearts to remember the truth that as believers, no matter what happens here on earth, we have been covered by the blood of Jesus - 'Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?'
"While we still kneel beside graves that are full, we remember the promise of them one day being empty," says DiMarco. "Jesus is the first born from the dead. His grave holds no body, no bones, no trace of the perishable. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54)."
Adds DiMarco, "Death does not have the final word because Jesus reigns victorious. So, we press on toward the prize of knowing that one day we will be raised with Christ and see Him face to face!"
With a heart for growing future leaders and encouraging young creatives to step into their calling, DiMarco joined the Bethel Music Collective in 2016, bringing with her a history of passionate worship that continues to inspire a new generation of worshippers.
